Private Membership Organizations

While the task of completing and collecting "Release and Authorization" forms is delegated to Club staff, the final Reports are usually discussed with the Chairman of the Club's Membership Committee.
In the past, many clubs performed very limited member scrutiny, relying heavily on the recommendations of existing members, and the assumed tie between wealth and character. Today, with background investigations becoming more widely acceptable, and the circles of membership gradually expanding, clubs are attempting to reduce their risk by performing quality personal assessments of Club applicants.
